From the Principal…...
  • School Tours:

The Primary School roll continues to grow with 4 new students commencing by the begining of Term 4. Each new child is carefully guided into the culture of Wentworth life. The focus of treating our students as individuals, carefully managing their educational development based on their ability and readiness to progress is centre to our philosphy.
The Primary teachers work closely as a team, reviewing all children's progress, putting in place clear learning expectations with observable outcomes which can be reported on.
Current parents are most welcome to invite friends to tour the school and to find out more about the Primary School philosphy and operation.

  • Maths Week:

It is pleasing to see both students and parents getting involved in fun filled events like Maths week and the Maths Cup Competition. I am delighted to see that the Primary and College continue to work together in these types of events. This mentoring environment helps to build bonds within Wentworth and strengthens the cooperation between the College and Primary. Thanks to James Banyard, Sam Clarke, Olivia Harter, Ben Hume, Shani White, Alexandra Smith, Cameron Hughes and Olivia Skelton for their assistance.

    Bruce Tong.

News...

Maths Week:
It was fantastic to see so many students attempting to solve the daily maths questions. It was a very tight competition, well done to Fleming 380 points, Findlay 360 points and McDonald 290 points.

Maths World Cup:
It was a great watching everyone getting involved solving maths questions and testing their rugby skills. The teachers were especially proud of the way the Team Captains supported the younger members of the team. Thank you also to the parents who entered two teams.
Congratulations to Italy for winning the World Cup Maths competition. The winning team of, Aleks Hyland, Toby Romminger, Matthew Brabant, Annabel Dornan and Ethan Smith, each won a calculator as their winning prize.

Grandparents Day:
All Grandparents (or elderly relatives) are invited to come and celebrate Grandparents Day at Wentworth Primary on Wednesday, 5 October. The day will start with an assembly and welcome and then grandparents will join their grandchildren in class and stay for a shared morning tea. We look forward to having you join us.

School Camp:
Could you please return camp permission, health notices and payments by Monday, 3 October.

Yummy Stickers:
We have been encouraging the children to collect Yummy Stickers and return them to school on the Yummy Sticker charts. The more Yummy stickers we collect means we are eligible for sporting goods from Yummy Fruit. Your assistance would be appreciated.

Photolife:
If you haven’t already done so, could you please return your Photolife envelopes and money.
