From the Principal…...

It was wonderful to see parents, grandparents and friends supporting the children at the school Athletics Day last week.  It was a great success with numerous very exciting events.  College participation in Primary School events is a very positive feature that Wentworth offers and promotes. The Year 10 students were of great help throughout the Athletics Day and we thank them for their assistance.

I have been hearing about all the wonderful experiences that the students had during the recent school camps.  Again, a huge thankyou to Mrs King, teachers and, of course, all the parents who assisted in making this event so successful.

The school calendar for the next few weeks looks busy leading up to our school prize-giving on 9th December.  I am particularly looking forward to our new initiative, a Year 6 Graduation Dinner!  This will become an annual event where we celebrate the Year 6 students' time at the Primary School and farewell them, wishing them the very best for their futures.

Bruce Tong.

News...

Athletics Day:
Last Friday was a wonderful day to watch the Wentworth Primary students show off their athleticism and skill levels. Everyone had fun and got into the spirit of day. There were a number of Year 5 and Year 6 records broken at the Athletics Day – details will be published in the 2011 Year Book.   The final House point results for the day were: McDonald 1610, Findlay 1410 and Fleming 970.  Once again, it is important to acknowledge the Year 10 College students who assisted and helped make the day run smoothly.

CanTeen Sponsorship:
We would like to thank Mrs Queety Akers for assisting with the sponsorship for the Kids Marathon. A fantastic total of $561 was raised by all the children who took part.
