Enrolment Procedure

Waiting List:

Children can be placed on the waiting list at any time from birth. A completed application form and payment of an application fee of $100 is required to be sent to the school office. Upon receipt a letter will be sent confirming that the child has been placed on the Wentworth Primary School waiting list for a particular year.

Enrolment Interview:

All applicants will be required to attend a formal entrance interview with the Head of Primary within 6 months prior to commencement. Applicants already on the waiting list will be contacted at the appropriate time by the Admissions Registrar to arrange a suitable time for an interview.

Supplementary documentation required to be presented at the interview:

  • A copy of the applicant’s latest school report (where the child is transferring from another primary school)
  • NZ Residents: Copy of birth certificate or passport.
  • Non-NZ Residents: Need to provide evidence of residence by providing the applicant’s passport.
  • Applicants may include any other additional information that they believe may assist Wentworth in reaching a decision about their application.

Confirmation of Enrolment:

Applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of their enrolment interview. Successful applicants will be offered a place at Wentworth Primary School on return of the completed Contract of Enrolment and payment of an enrolment confirmation fee as outlined in the Schedule of Fees information.
