Welcome to the Wentworth Primary School website.

Wentworth Primary opened at the beginning of 2008 and in a very short time we have witnessed great gains in the achievement and confidence of our foundation students. We are very fortunate to enjoy class sizes which are significantly smaller than any in the region. Such low student:teacher ratios ensure that teachers know their students very well. Thorough and formative assessment methods mean that teachers have very clear knowledge about the learning abilities and needs of each child. Each student benefits from an individualised programme in English and Mathematics while personalised attention in all subjects of the curriculum affords greater opportunities for all children to achieve their personal best.

Here we have the best of both worlds. On the one hand we benefit from being small which ensures high achievement standards, particularly in literacy and numeracy; and on the other hand we are very much part of Wentworth College and so receive the benefits of a large school such as specialist teachers and facilities.
